Where typical apps are strong
Large public rosters, native store apps, open wait rooms, and in-app chat are useful when you only need a quick consult. Telemedicine does not pretend to be a 7,000-doctor marketplace or a 60-second matching queue.
Why Telemedicine
Many platforms sell a chat or video call. Telemedicine runs the whole desk: KYC-reviewed clinicians, timed video or audio, walk-in vitals, A4 records, labs, pharmacy, and wards on one member identity.
| Dimension | Telemedicine | Typical telemedicine platforms |
|---|---|---|
| Core model | End-to-end clinic operating system — one member identity for video, walk-in, labs, pharmacy, and wards | Consultation marketplace or consumer app focused on the visit itself |
| Who has a desk | Four portals: admin, doctor, patient, and paramedical | Patient app plus a provider login |
| Call modes | Timed 15–30 minute video or audio rooms, plus walk-in tickets — duration is logged | Chat, audio, and video, often without a hard call clock |
| Same-day GP | Consult a doctor books the next KYC-reviewed GP on your chart | Open wait room or “connect in seconds” matching |
| Clinical record | Findings, prescriptions, lab orders, diet plans, and A4 letterhead prints | In-app notes and a digital prescription |
| Reviews & experience | Member ratings after a completed visit, years in practice, completed visit counts | Star ratings on a large public roster |
| Labs & pharmacy | Orders on the same chart, with home collection and delivery requests to the care desk | In-app lab and medicine checkout |
| Mental health & home care | Dedicated psychiatry/psychology path and paramedical home-visit requests | Specialty landing pages and, on some networks, community workers |
| Doctor payouts | Live wallet with a published seven-day withdrawal window | Often not shown to members |
| In-clinic hybrid | Walk-in vitals, queue tickets, admissions, and ward medications on the same member ID | Partner e-clinics or a video-only product |
| Employers & sectors | Named request desk for employers, schools, ministries, and NGOs — not a white-label tenant console | Corporate subscription programmes |
| Instant support | Private on-site care desk with chat, voice notes, and photos. WhatsApp is for membership and booking only — not for clinical details | Email tickets or consumer chat apps used for follow-up |
| Privacy | HIPAA-aligned safeguards: role-based access, encrypted transport, audit logs. Clinical data stays on the member chart | Often a privacy page without a stated clinical-data channel |
| Network | KYC-reviewed clinicians across Pakistan, USA, Canada, Australia, and England | Usually one country, often with a native store app |

The visit is the start of the chart, not the whole product. Timed rooms, printable records, doctor wallets, walk-in intake, and an admin desk make it a turnkey clinic for members, clinicians, and employers.
Create a member card or book the next available GP. Video, audio, and walk-in write to the same chart.
